Hi, I've contacted SEGA customer service to ask them to look into (and hopefully solve) our online multiplayer problems. I realize chances are low that they may pick it up but I have to try anyway because I don't want this game to go away. If other people would like to do the same, here are SEGA's customer service contacts: This is my email, feel free to copy it if you'd like: Could you please fix the problems players are experiencing with Dawn of War Soulstorm online multiplayer games (through Steam)? I have been a fan of the Dawn of War series for many years now -I consider it the best/most fun RTS game ever. I was amazed of how much this game is still alive after ten years.
Just a month ago we had 3 completely filled out online rooms of online gamers and others in the other 7 rooms. That is about 400 players total still enjoying this amazing game. However lately we've seen that number drop dramatically because we experience what the community calls 'severe server problems'.
There have been several community posts about these issues. In practice it means that online games that are created through Steam, are not visible to others! As we can't see created games, this means we cannot 'join' each others games and thus cannot play online multiplayer any more.
The problem is even more 'strange' as some games are visible to some but not to others and the other way around. Please, as a I've been a fan and paying customer for years, please fix this problem as fast as possible.
It is hurting the community horribly. We are losing players that have been playing for years.
At a time that we see more players get back into the game -I even convinced some to buy the steam version- these 'severe server issues' are destroying the online experience, hence causing players to drop out. I'm looking forward to your response and swift solution to the problem.
